Gabriel Lamy is a French blues-rock guitarist with an intense and expressive style. Leader of the band Younger Spirit, he has established a signature sound that is both raw and organic, somewhere between the energy of rock and the soul of the blues.
He began playing classical guitar at the age of six at the Troyes Conservatory. At sixteen, discovering Stevie Ray Vaughan marked a turning point. Fascinated by this sound and intensity, he acquired his first Stratocaster and joined the electric guitar class at the conservatory. From then on, the guitar became much more than an instrument: a big sister, always there, and a new language through which he could fully express himself.
At the Troyes Conservatory, he crossed paths with Gatien Valli: a meeting that felt like destiny. YOUNGER SPIRIT was born! Later joined by Rémi Lamerre, the symbiosis between the three young bluesmen was complete. Initially influenced by the great blues standards, they quickly began composing their own songs, gradually forging a powerful and vibrant sound.
Their music evokes the spirit of old, smoky clubs while asserting a personal and modern identity. On stage, the three musicians are captivating, delivering an intense, vibrant, and more alive blues-rock than ever before.
