Ronnie Romero was born and raised in Chile in a Protestant family of musicians, and started singing at the age of 7 in a gospel choir. After being introduced to Rock music He soon realized He wants to become in a Rock-Metal Singer, developing a strong and powerful singing style melting together the best of His favorite singers and influences such Ian Gillan, David Coverdale, Steve Perry and his beloved Ronnie James Dio. Ronnie moves to Spain in 2009 and soon developed His music career along renowned musicians and collaborating with many other bands of different styles. His Main act came in 2015 when He was discovered and contacted by the legendary Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore to reform the band Rainbow, which was touring with from 2016 till 2019, also recording 4 singles: “Waiting For A Sign” (original song previously unreleased), “I Surrender” (Rainbow re-arranged), “Black Sheep Of The Family” (Rainbow re-arranged) and “The Storm” (Blackmore’s Night re-arranged). 3 live albums: “Rainbow Memories In Rock I and II” and “Rainbow Live In Birmingham”, and 1 live dvd “Ritchie Blackmore’s Memories In Rock-Live In Germany”.
After Rainbow Ronnie has worked with the finest musicians around the world such as: -Michael Schenker Group (2 albums: Immortal, Universal). -Vandenberg (2020 Album). -Leo Leoni’s Coreleoni (2 albums: Greatest Hits I, II). -The Ferrymen, feat. Magnus Karlsson and Mike Terrana (3 albums: The Ferryman, A New Evil, One More River To Cross). -Sunstorm (2 albums: Afterlife, Brothers In Arms). -Also many collaborations with: Simon Phillips (Toto), Steve Morse (Deep Purple), Robby Krieger (The Doors).
With His mother band Lords Of Black Ronnie has recorded 5 studio albums: Lords Of Black, II, Icons Of The New Days, Alchemy Of Souls I and II.
Ronnie is currently the Frontman of Elegant Weapons, band formed by the guitarist Richie Faulkner (Judas Priest), Bassist Dave Rimmer (Uriah Heep) and drummer Christopher Williams (Accept). The band has released their debut album “Horns For A Halo” (Rex Brown of Pantera on bass and Scott Travis on Drums) in 2023 and touring together with Pantera, Winery Dogs, solo shows and festivals during the summer of 2023 with great success.
Now Ronnie is up to conquer the world with His first SOLO album with all original songs, also co-produced together with the Spanish drummer and producer Andy C!!!
